Make Art Work: Transforming Good Illustrations into Great Illustrations
About
A collaborative workshop giving illustrators focused feedback on brief-based work and guidance on preparing entries for illustration competitions.
Part of the Make Art Work series by The School of Illustration at the Barbican Creative Hub, this three-hour session helps artists find their voice in commercial illustration. Participants bring a piece created in response to a set brief supplied beforehand and receive critical, industry-focused feedback to elevate the work toward commissions. The session also covers how to prepare work for competitions, looking at available illustration competitions and what makes entries stand out. It can be taken individually or as part of the series, with delivery tailored to each learner.
