Heart Meditation Monthly Drumming Circle

A monthly drop-in drumming circle teaching Heart Meditation through rhythms on the Persian frame drum (Daf), with all drums provided.

This one-hour introductory session teaches the ancient art of Heart Meditation, a practice said to begin with learning to listen to your own heartbeat. Participants learn basic techniques on the Daf, a Persian frame drum, before playing rhythms as a group interspersed with periods of deep focus on the heart. No previous experience is needed and all drums are provided; attendees are advised to wear loose, comfortable clothing and avoid eating for a couple of hours beforehand.
