Little STEAMers: Marvellous Machines
About
A playful engineering session for 3–5 year olds exploring ramps, pulleys and levers through hands-on experiments, stories and songs.
This session introduces young children to simple machines inspired by those used aboard Royal Navy ships. Starting with a mystery bag of objects, children investigate ramps of different heights and slopes, discover how pulleys help lift and move things, and build their own lever catapults. Through playful investigations, stories, songs and hands-on challenges, they explore forces, movement and cause and effect while developing early problem-solving, communication and fine motor skills. Designed for children aged 3–5 who must be accompanied by an adult.
