Super Friendz presents: Giles Corey

Giles Corey, the folk-driven solo project of Dan Barrett, performs his first ever fully solo live dates at the Howard Assembly Room.

Giles Corey is the folk-driven solo work of Dan Barrett, co-founder of Have a Nice Life. The 2011 self-titled album began with acoustic instruments only but grew to include piano, ghostly choirs, heavy organ, field recordings and walls of sound around an intimate singer-songwriter core, with songs exploring depression, death, history and the paranormal. These are the first Giles Corey dates since 2023 and the first performed entirely solo: stark voice, acoustic instruments and unstable electronics, moving from whisper to physical impact. The set includes brand new material performed live for the first time.
