Dasom Baek (Seoul) with support from Black Brunswicker

Seoul-based composer Dasom Baek performs contemporary ambient music on traditional Korean instruments, with support from ambient folk artist Black Brunswicker.

Dasom Baek, a Seoul-based composer and performer of traditional Korean instruments including the Daegeum, Sogeum, Danso and Saenghwang, plays music from her album Mirror City, which layers ambient textures and vocal patterns over the timbres of heritage Korean instruments. Her set is supported by Black Brunswicker, the ambient folk project of Manchester-based, Indiana-born artist Etta Helfrich, whose guitar-led instrumentals draw on landscape and travel. The event is presented by Sonido Polifonico at Bishops' House and is open to all ages, with under-16s accompanied by an adult.
