Japanese Sashiko Stitching / Visible Mending Workshop

A two-hour beginner-friendly workshop learning traditional Japanese sashiko and boro stitching for visible mending, with materials provided.

This hands-on workshop introduces traditional Japanese mending embroidery, teaching sashiko and boro stitching as a creative, mindful way to repair textiles and reduce waste. Tutor Karen Giroud provides templates, inspiration and tips, and participants can bring their own clothes to work on; materials are provided. The session is suitable for both beginner and experienced sewers and lasts two hours.
