Ghost Town + Q&A
About
UK premiere screening of Katharine Round's Ghost Town, a Japanese-language film set in a coastal town haunted by the 2011 tsunami, followed by a Q&A.
The ICA hosts the UK premiere of Ghost Town, directed by Katharine Round and made in the United Kingdom in 2026, presented in Japanese with English subtitles and running 64 minutes. Set in a Japanese coastal town still haunted by the 2011 tsunami, the film follows a taxi that becomes a moving confession booth, as conversations between drivers and passengers over one night reveal how survivors live with the dead, blending ghostly tales, dreams and everyday life. The screening is followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Katharine Round and Shiori Ito. Films at the ICA are 18+ unless otherwise stated and begin with a 10-minute curated selection of trailers.
