Autumn Bennerley Viaduct Skywalk Guided Tour
About
A guided 1.5–2 hour walk across Bennerley Viaduct and its surroundings, exploring its wrought iron engineering and community restoration story.
This guided walk takes visitors along the restored deck of Bennerley Viaduct, one of only two wrought iron viaducts nationally, spanning the Derbyshire–Nottinghamshire border over the Erewash Valley. Organised by the Friends group that rescued the 1400ft structure, the tour covers its lattice ironwork, railway and industrial heritage, and the volunteer-created pathways and habitats nearby. The walk lasts approximately 1.5–2 hours, is moderately challenging with uneven paths and steps, and sturdy shoes are recommended; dogs on leads are welcome.
