Geminids Meteor Shower 2

An evening stargazing event at Sutton Bank to watch the Geminids meteor shower a few days before its peak, with indoor presentations and a planetarium show if cloudy.

This event at the Sutton Bank Hub, staged with Go Stargazing, offers a chance to watch the Geminids meteor shower a few days before its predicted peak on a moonless night. Alongside meteor spotting from the purpose-built viewing area, organisers will share other night-sky sights including the Milky Way, distant galaxies and planets. Colourful presentations take place in the warm indoor Hub, and if clouds intervene a computer-based planetarium show stands in. The session lasts two and a half hours, suits adults and children over six, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
