Holyrood Park Christmas Amble

A free ranger-led festive walk in Holyrood Park spotting winter wildlife and folklore such as robins, holly and swans.

Historic Environment Scotland's Ranger Service leads a guided Christmas walk through Holyrood Park, exploring the folklore behind festive wildlife and plants including robins, holly, ivy and swans. The easy-grade route runs via Volunteers' Walk, Parade Ground, Hunter's Bog and St. Margaret's Loch and is wheelchair accessible, though it involves rough tracks and slopes. Walks run 1pm to 2.30pm on selected dates between 19 December 2026 and 1 January 2027, starting from Broad Pavement Car Park, and may not suit children under 8.
