Geography of the Mind
About
A mixed media sculpture by Saad Qureshi, displayed at the Pitt Rivers Museum as part of the Oxford-wide On Paradise exhibition trail.
Geography of the Mind is a 2026 mixed media work by Oxford-based artist Saad Qureshi, displayed in a case on the Ground Floor of the Pitt Rivers Museum. It brings together architectural and landscape forms inspired by the museum's ethnographic collections, forming an imagined place that explores how fragments of different histories and cultures are reshaped through memory and imagination. The piece is one of five sculptural interventions installed across the University's museums, extending the On Paradise exhibition at the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities into the collections.
