The Claras – WE021
About
Sussex folk duo The Claras perform traditional songs and story-inspired originals on harp and harmonies in a GI Music Lounge fundraising evening.
Sussex-based folk duo The Claras — Clare McGlone and Claire Rakich — combine harp and vocal harmonies to perform traditional songs and story-inspired originals. Their set conjures ghosts, blackbirds, crossroads and lost villages, resurrects legendary Cornish witches, re-tells the story of St George for modern times and includes the occasional unexpected cover. Doors and a licensed bar open at 7pm, with music from 7.30pm including an interval. The evening is part of the GI Music Lounge series of fundraising events for The Guildford Institute.
