About
A sold-out morning history course examining the Bayeux Tapestry's story scene by scene and its own turbulent history, led by tutor Roger Price.
This repeat morning course at the Guildford Institute explores the Bayeux Tapestry, which is on loan to the British Museum from 10 September 2026 to 11 July 2027. Tutor Roger Price examines the nearly 70-metre embroidery's depiction of the events leading up to the Battle of Hastings in 1066, scene by scene, before turning to the remarkable and sometimes turbulent history of the tapestry itself. The session runs from 10am to 12.30pm and both member and non-member tickets are sold out.
