About
A mindful two-hour workshop learning tatreez, the traditional Palestinian Fallahi cross-stitch embroidery, stitching a motif to mount on a notebook.
Yorkshire Tatreez lead a hands-on stitching session celebrating tatreez, the Fallahi cross-stitch embroidery recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage. Participants choose a motif and stitch and mount it on a notebook, with guidance from the practitioners throughout. The workshop explores tatreez as a visual language passed through generations of Palestinian women, rooted in storytelling, cultural memory and identity. It is open to all regardless of faith and lasts two hours.
