LEARN-TO: Plate Your Jewellery
About
A practical half-day workshop at FORGE teaching electroplating techniques for jewellery finishing and creative colour effects.
This hands-on workshop introduces electroplating for jewellery making, covering safe set-up and operation, surface preparation, and how different metals produce silver/white, copper/pink and gold/yellow finishes. Participants learn to control the electrical supply, position work correctly, troubleshoot common issues, and clean and finish plated pieces, with applications in both professional finishing and repair. Attendees leave with their own plated samples. Instructor Peter Musson is a specialist silversmith and educator with over 20 years' experience teaching at the Royal College of Art.
