About
UK premiere screening of Tamra Davis's documentary The Best Summer, followed by an online Q&A with the director.
The Best Summer documents the 1995 Summersault tour, following Beastie Boys, Sonic Youth, Foo Fighters, Pavement, Rancid, The Amps and Bikini Kill across Australia and Southeast Asia. Shot on Tamra Davis's handheld camera, the 84-minute film mixes live performances with backstage moments and tour-bus chaos, rediscovered nearly 30 years later. This UK Premiere screening is part of Doc'n Roll Film Festival 2026 and is followed by an online Q&A with the director. Films at the ICA are 18+ and preceded by a 10-minute curated trailer selection.
