About
A one-day symposium at Trimontium Museum exploring collaboration between metal-detectorists and archaeologists, in person and online.
Trimontium's second symposium brings together professional archaeologists and metal-detectorists to discuss best practice, collaboration and recent discoveries. Talks cover Treasure Trove in Scotland, systematic artefact survey, conflict archaeology, numismatics and museum collecting, with speakers from institutions including National Museums Scotland and the University of Antwerp. The day runs 10am to 5:45pm followed by a drinks reception, with in-person registration including lunch and refreshments; a recording is sent to all participants.
