Heritage Science
About
A technical learning session on the applied use of heritage science in conservation, with morning talks and optional afternoon equipment demonstrations.
A learning session introducing how heritage science informs conservation decisions in Scotland. The morning covers lab and on-site analysis of masonry materials, petrographic analysis of stone, infrared thermography, microwave moisture monitoring and archaeological applications, followed by a networking lunch. Full-day attendees also get afternoon practical demonstrations of the Heritage Science team's equipment; a virtual ticket covers the morning session on Microsoft Teams. Attendance counts towards CPD with a certificate issued.
