Dormouse and Development
About
A one-day in-person Mammal Society training course on dormouse ecology, surveying and legislation for consultants working on development sites.
This Mammal Society course is aimed at ecological consultants and others needing to understand dormouse legislation. It covers the essentials of dormouse ecology, how to survey for this protected species, and — through case studies of potential development scenarios — what must be done if dormice are found on a site, including licence requirements, mitigation and ongoing monitoring. The seven-hour session is led by trainer David Wells and includes a CPD certificate; attendees are ideally professionals or those who have previously worked with the species.
