Nature Tots: Five-Week Forest School Block

A five-session Nature Tots Forest School block for children aged 3–5 and accompanying adults, led by course tutor Tamara Jewell.

Across five Thursday sessions, children aged 3–5 and their accompanying adults explore seasonal wildlife and woodland skills at Tilgate Park. This block includes looking for tracks and signs, learning about hedgehogs and other nocturnal animals, making flappy bats and decorating trees. Activities also include bug hunting, a campfire and mud kitchen; children are encouraged to learn through child-led tasks such as den building and supervised bow-saw use. An accompanying adult supports the child. Sessions run rain or shine; meet at the picnic tables outside the walled-garden entrance and arrive promptly. Bring a drink and snack, and dress for wet, muddy weather.
