Rosanna Clare Leather Workshop - A Belt and a Painted Purse

A hands-on beginner leatherwork workshop making a custom vegetable-tanned leather belt and a hand-painted purse with leatherworker Rosanna Clare.

Participants spend the day learning leathercraft fundamentals, making a belt from vegetable-tanned leather using traditional marking, cutting, hand-stitching and edge-finishing techniques, with options to emboss initials and choose colours and buckle finishes. After the belt, attendees practise leather-painting techniques, make a small cable tidy, then decorate and assemble a pre-cut purse with a fastening. The workshop is aimed at beginners and runs from 10am to approximately 4.30pm.
