Elena Veronesi [Clarinet] & Fausto Quintabà [Piano]

A clarinet and piano recital of German Romantic repertoire by Schumann, Brahms, Reinecke and Weber at the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building.

Clarinetist Elena Veronesi and pianist Fausto Quintabà perform a programme of German Romantic music for clarinet and piano. The recital spans Weber's Grand Duo Concertante, described as a 'double concerto without orchestra', through to Brahms's late First Clarinet Sonata written for Richard Mühlfeld. Two sets of Fantasiestücke by Schumann and Reinecke round off the programme, emphasising lyrical warmth and spontaneous invention.
