Brother Tree Sound – Inspirations: New British String Quartets

String quartet Brother Tree Sound perform new British quartets, including two world premieres, with percussionist Kiyomi Seed at the JdP Music Building.

Brother Tree Sound present a programme of new British string quartets as part of the January New Music Festival IV. The concert includes world premieres of Laura Moody's In Praise of Shadows and John Croft's Nephelai, alongside works by Edmund Finnis, Matthew Whiteside, Dobrinka Tabakova, Alex Groves and Ben Nobuto, with percussion from Kiyomi Seed. A new piece by an Oxford University composer, selected from that afternoon's composition workshop, will also be performed.
