Mariachi Las Adelitas – Ilford

Europe's only all-female mariachi band performs traditional Mexican music in and around Redbridge Central Library as part of the Festival of the Dead programme.

Mariachi Las Adelitas, a seven-piece all-woman band formed in London in 2013 with members from Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, Italy and the UK, bring traditional Mexican mariachi music to Redbridge Central Library. The band performs in colourful costumes with live musicians, playing joyful music in and around the library. The event is part of the Festival of the Dead programme and is supported by Arts Council England.
