About
A beginner-friendly guided walk searching for waxcap fungi at Burradon, recording finds for NHSN's North East Waxcaps citizen science project.
Join NHSN Senior Naturalist James Common on an informal walk in search of waxcaps, the colourful fungi that indicate healthy, undisturbed grassland. The session explores the sights and sounds of autumn at Burradon while spotting fungi and recording key finds for the North East Waxcaps project. Aimed at beginners and enthusiasts, participants learn to identify waxcaps in the field and submit sightings via iRecord.
