A workshop where participants create a bronze penannular brooch using traditional cold-working techniques inspired by Iron Age Britain.

Using traditional cold-working techniques, participants will create their own bronze penannular brooch inspired by archaeological finds from Iron Age Britain. Guided throughout the day, you will learn how to shape, form, and finish bronze using simple hand tools. The session explores the lives of people at Hengistbury Head and how brooches reflected identity and status in Iron Age Britain.
