RSGS Inspiring People Talk: Lise Wortley: Lessons from the Wild
About
Adventurer Lise Wortley gives an RSGS Inspiring People talk at the University of Stirling on resilience and lessons drawn from wilderness survival and pioneering women explorers.
Lise Wortley, an adventurer, presenter and writer who starred in Channel 4's Alone, surviving 34 days in the Canadian wilderness, shares lessons on resilience in this Royal Scottish Geographical Society talk. Drawing on her survival experience and her Woman with Altitude project celebrating overlooked female explorers, she argues that courage means continuing forward despite fear, setbacks and challenges. The talk runs from 7:30pm to 9pm and is open to the general public, with free entry for RSGS members, students and under-18s.
