Stories from the Steppe
About
A daily family programme sharing Mongolian folklore, horse-warrior equipment, music, dance, demonstrations, crafts and games.
Hear Mongolian tales from a traditionally dressed shaman with throat singing and traditional dance, discover the weapons and armour of Mongolian horsemen, and join live interpretation, crafts, games and an art cart. The daily timetable is provided on arrival and activities may change. Reserve a place for every party member; entry is free and the suggested £5 donation can be changed or removed. The published daily programme lists Mongolian Tales at 11:30, 13:30 and 15:30, arming the horseman at 13:00, combat demonstrations at 12:00 and 14:00, and dramatic performances at 11:00 and 15:00. Crafts, games and the art cart run as drop-ins from 10:00 to 16:00; check the daily timetable on arrival for changes.
