Mine Monsters
About
A timed Welsh folklore storytelling session about the Tylwyth Teg, Coblynau and Coal Giant, followed by a make-your-own magic potion and folklore-map activity.
For children aged 4 and over, storytelling takes place in the above-ground King Coal simulated-mine experience in the Mining Galleries. Sessions last 30 minutes, starting at 11:00, 12:00, 13:00 and 14:00; the 14:00 session is in Welsh. After the stories, make a magic potion and a Fantasy Folklore Map of Wales in The Stute, building 16, any time 11:00–16:00. Non-participating visitors do not need a ticket but cannot join the crafts. Pushchairs must be left outside. Arrive no more than 15 minutes before your session and allow up to 15 minutes to walk from the car park.
