Comets & Curry
About
A meteor-shower night pairs a curry supper with Dr Kit Lloyd-Stubbs’s talk on the universe’s structure and energy, followed by stargazing for the Leonids and Taurids if skies are clear.
The evening begins with gates at 18:30, seating in the marquee at 19:15 and curry supper at 19:30. Dr Kit Lloyd-Stubbs begins a talk at 20:30 about the universe’s spacetime structure, energy density and possible future; free-flow stargazing is scheduled from 21:30 to 23:00. If observing conditions are poor, an indoor planetarium programme and meteorite experience are offered. Choose chicken curry or vegan red-cabbage and cashew biryani; dietary requirements can be shared with the organiser.
