Fleet Street Carols
About
A free festive carol service at St Bride's featuring Onyx Brass, Mick Doran and St Bride's Choir, reviving the Fleet Street Christmas tradition.
St Bride's annual Fleet Street Carols service revives the tradition of the newspaper industry's printers, journalists and news agencies gathering at the church to celebrate Christmas. The noon service features Onyx Brass performing David Willcocks's arrangements of favourite Christmas hymns, alongside choral music including John Gardner's Tomorrow shall be my dancing day, Matthew Morley's The Little Drummer Boy and Iain Farrington's setting of Nova, nova. The service lasts approximately one hour and is open to everyone, with doors opening 30 minutes beforehand.
