Victorian Schoolroom Experience in the Gateway

A 45-minute Victorian schoolroom experience where adults and children over 5 meet a Victorian schoolteacher and re-learn the '3Rs' in the historic Abbey Gateway.

Participants step into a unique Victorian classroom in the historic Abbey Gateway, where a Victorian schoolteacher leads a 45-minute lesson re-learning the '3Rs'. The session is aimed at adults and children aged 5 and over. Victorian object handling is also offered throughout the day in Reading Museum, and visitors should note the Gateway has no step-free access with uneven steps and floors.
