About

Hands-on home-education workshops use the museum grounds and collections to explore seasonal history, light and Victorian Christmas traditions.

These sessions are aimed at children aged five to twelve, though the organiser says ages are flexible. Each date has a different theme: Bonfire Night on 5 November; Light in the Darkness on 19 November; and Victorian Christmas on 3 December. Activities combine outdoor exploration, historical objects and practical learning. Each workshop is 10:00–12:00 and has a maximum of 15 children. One adult per paying child is included; children under four attend free.
