Gothic Nights: Gothic Zine Making
About
A gothic zine-making workshop in the museum's Victorian Kitchen, inspired by the Theodor von Holst exhibition, for ages 14 plus.
Participants create their own zine — a self-published mini-magazine — from a single sheet of A3 paper, using collage materials including Victorian ephemera and Theodor von Holst illustrations, an Instax camera, a photocopier, rubbings, stamps and printmaking techniques such as mono-printing and cyanotype. The session is held in the museum's Victorian Kitchen with a roaring fire and includes refreshments plus time to visit the museum and the exhibition Theodor von Holst: From Frankenstein to The Pre-Raphaelites. It is part of the Gothic Nights programme, suitable for age 14 plus, and is led by Martha Kelsey and Laura Kinnear.
