Sensory Sunday
About
Relaxed, hands-on sensory play for children and families in the National Museum of Scotland’s Learning Centre.
Children with additional support needs and disabilities and their families are invited to these relaxed, hands-on sensory play sessions. Activities explore the museum collections and respond to participating families; visitors may come and go during a session. A separate quiet or break-out room is available in the secure Learning Centre, refreshments are provided, and a visual story is sent by email before the session. Content is aimed at ages 5–10 but is not a fixed age range; all families who think they may enjoy the sessions are welcome. The November and December listings offer 11:00–12:00 and 14:00–15:00 sessions. The page currently marks the programme sold out.
