3 Day Skirt and Darted Pattern Cutting Workshop

A three-day beginner pattern-cutting workshop at FC Designer Workspace covering skirt and darted bodice block drafting.

This hands-on three-day course introduces beginners to pattern drafting, running from 10am to 4pm each day. Participants learn pattern-making basics and tools, how to take body measurements, and how to draft a size 12 darted bodice with sleeves and a standard skirt block, before creating made-to-measure blocks from their own measurements. The course also covers transforming blocks into working patterns with seam allowances, notches and annotations, with an optional toile made from woven fabric to test fit. Instructor Manuela teaches pattern cutting at the Fashion Technology Academy in Haringey, and no prior experience is required.
