4-Day Trouser Making Workshop
About
A four-day intermediate sewing workshop at which participants make their own trousers from a pre-made pattern using industrial machines.
Run by Fashion Capital UK, this four-day workshop (10am–4pm daily) teaches trouser construction from start to finish. Day one covers industrial sewing machines — flatbed and overlock — including threading, tension, stitch control and lay planning, before cutting the fabric. Days two to four focus on assembling the trousers, sewing a fly front, adding seams, darts and fastenings, stitching the waistband and hemming. Participants should bring around two metres of woven fabric, ideally lightweight calico, and need basic sewing skills.
