A one-day wood carving workshop with Fay Jones making wooden haberdashery items such as buttons, crochet hooks and shuttles from local seasoned wood.

Fay Jones leads a one-day wood carving workshop in which participants make their own wooden haberdashery items, choosing from crochet hooks, buttons, lucets, spools, braiding wheels, flat needles and shuttles. Using local seasoned woods such as apple, pear, blackthorn, hazel and hawthorn, students gain confidence with hand tools to shape and finish pieces that can be sanded and used straight away. The day runs from 10am to approximately 4.30pm, is suitable for beginners, and all materials are included in the price.
