Hand Carved Traditional Wooden Bowl
About
A beginner-friendly one-day course carving a rustic greenwood bowl with traditional hand tools at a woodland workshop on the Wyresdale Park estate.
This one-day workshop with Paul Williams Woodcraft introduces greenwood bowl carving using traditional hand tools and freshly harvested wood such as alder, silverbirch or sycamore. Suitable for beginners, it covers safe tool use and setting up a work station, and participants take home a bowl usable in the kitchen or as a decorative piece. The course runs from a woodland workshop in Ghyll Wood on the Wyresdale Park estate, taking place outdoors with an indoor workshop available if the weather is poor, and includes advice for those wanting to continue carving at home.
