Perpetual Motion (2009)

The ICA screens Nicolás Pereda's 2009 film Perpetual Motion, a dryly funny study of labour and frustrated mobility in Mexico City.

Nicolás Pereda's 2009 film follows Gabino, who lives with his mother in Mexico City and works precariously as a mover with his friend Paco. Between jobs, money arguments and the search for his missing dog, the pair stay busy while going nowhere. The 73-minute film, in Spanish with English subtitles, is part of the ICA's Between the Lines: Films by Nicolás Pereda season and screens with a 10-minute curated selection of trailers.
