Forest School Training Level 1: Woods Mill, Henfield
About
One-day Level 1 introduction to Forest School principles at Woods Mill.
This one-day course introduces the Forest School approach to learning and practical skills for joining a Forest School delivery team. It covers risk management, woodland impacts, safe campfire use and hand tools, games and activities. It is for participants over 18 interested in working with children and young people outdoors. The in-person training runs outdoors from 09:30 to 16:30. A short workbook is due within six months, and participants must observe at least one Forest School session led by a Level 3-qualified leader. Successful participants receive the AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group Level 1 Award in Introduction to Forest School Principles; it does not qualify them to lead their own sessions. Bring photo ID, gloves, lunch, water, notebook, pen, camera, warm waterproof clothing and sturdy closed-toe footwear.
