Forest School Training Level 2: Woods Mill, Henfield

Four-day Level 2 Forest School programme-support course at Woods Mill.

This four-day course develops skills for supporting delivery of Forest School sessions. It covers the Forest School approach and positive risk-taking, campfires, hand tools, games, woodland flora and fauna, and sustainable woodland use. It is for participants over 18 with previous experience working with young people. Training is outdoors from 09:30 to 16:30 each day. A Level 2 workbook is due within six months; participants must assist with at least three Level 3-led Forest School sessions and complete observations. Successful participants receive the AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group Level 2 Award in Forest School Programme Support; it does not qualify them to lead their own sessions. The Moodle introduction is online and is not a physical performance. Bring photo ID, gloves, lunch, water, notebook, pen, camera, warm waterproof clothing and sturdy closed-toe footwear.
