About
Pianist Sir Stephen Hough joins contralto Jess Dandy and baritone Andrew Hamilton for an evening recital of Schumann, Mary Poppins arrangements and his own song cycles.
Part of the Leeds Song Festival, this evening recital opens with a solo piano set from Sir Stephen Hough featuring Schumann's Carnaval and his own arrangement of Sherman's Mary Poppins music, before he is joined by contralto Jess Dandy and baritone Andrew Hamilton for his song cycles Dappled Things and Herbstlieder. The concert runs two hours including a 20-minute interval, and begins with a 15-minute showcase by alumni of the Leeds Song Young Artist Programme.
