Folk Art Sampler Workshop with Anne Kelly

A sold-out full-day textile workshop with Anne Kelly exploring folk art textiles through collage, hand stitching, kantha, block printing and appliqué.

Anne Kelly, author of Textile Folk Art and Textile Travels, leads a one-day workshop inspired by folk art textiles from around the world. The day begins with a look at folk art samples and demonstrations of the techniques used, after which participants design their own piece using Indian block prints, collage, hand stitching, kantha, stencilling and appliqué. Suitable for all levels, the class runs from 11 am to 5 pm with a lunch break and takes place at Frequency Cafe next door to Loop.
