Hand Embroidered Illustration Masterclass with Jessie Chorley

A full-day hand embroidery masterclass with textile artist Jessie Chorley exploring appliqué, stitch techniques and stitched illustration.

This immersive group masterclass, led by textile artist Jessie Chorley, teaches hand-stitched illustration using new and vintage threads and fabrics. Participants learn appliqué and a range of stitches including satin, running, seed, cross and couching, and can incorporate found objects and personal mementos into their work. The session opens with an introduction to Jessie's original artworks, and each participant receives a kit with a fabric base, pre-cut appliqué motifs and a printed stitch guide. Classes are limited to 10 students, are held next door at Frequency Coffee (with a short lunch break), and run from 11am to 5pm.
