Quiet Morning
About
A relaxed early-opening session at The Tank Museum with sounds and interactives switched off for visitors with sensory needs.
The Tank Museum opens for a calmer visit on 5 December 2026, one of four weekend quiet mornings in 2026. From 09:30 to 11:00 all sounds and interactives are turned off to reduce sensory input, with sounds switched back on at 11:00, after which visitors are welcome to stay as long as they like. The session is primarily for, but not limited to, families of children with autism, young people and adults with autism, children with social, emotional or mental health needs, adults living with dementia and other visitors with sensory needs. Sensory backpacks including ear defenders and other items can be borrowed free from Main Admissions.
