Hand Craft A Rustic Stick Frame Stool or Small Table
About
A one-day woodland woodworking course where participants hand craft their own rustic stick-frame stool or small table using traditional and modern techniques.
A one-day green woodworking course in Ghyll wood on the Wyresdale Park estate, where participants hand craft a simple rustic stool or small table to take home. The gently paced session uses freshly harvested hazel, silver birch or other local poles for the frame, with locally sourced slabs such as larch, scots pine, cedar or Norway spruce for the top. Work takes place outdoors in the woods where possible, with an indoor space and wood-burner available in poor weather; the project suits families with children from around 12 years.
