About
A free outdoor session for 14–18-year-olds studying hibernation and winter preparations, with practical habitat work.
This Low Barns session for ages 14–18 focuses on hibernation and preparing for winter. Participants will make hibernation chambers for ladybirds, butterflies, bats and hedgehogs and learn how to support wildlife through the colder months. The group also gains practical reserve-management experience; activities across sessions can include surveying, planting and painting, hand-tool use, grass cutting, raking and litter picking. The published session runs 13:00–15:00. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear.
