Connecting with Collections: What Do Our Memories Mean to Us?
About
A facilitated philosophical discussion at Kelham Island Museum exploring what our memories mean, prompted by the Sheffield Project photography exhibition.
Sheffield Museums host an informal but in-depth group conversation at Kelham Island Museum considering big ideas such as memory, knowledge and truth. The session uses the Exhibition Pod's Sheffield Project photography exhibition to prompt new thinking, with participants exploring the museum's collections and how they resonate today. The format is collaborative philosophical enquiry — talking and listening to build understanding together — and no prior experience is needed. The session lasts two hours.
