Dressmaking Half Day - Knickers - IPS

A sold-out half-day sewing class at Franklins in Ipswich teaching beginners how to make their own knickers from stretch fabric.

This two-hour workshop at Franklins in Ipswich introduces sewing with stretch fabrics by making a pair of knickers. Participants learn to measure themselves, choose a size, trace a pattern and cut fabric, then practise basic garment-sewing techniques such as sewing accurate seam allowances, finishing seams and topstitching elastic. All materials and equipment are provided, and attendees take their pattern home to make more; classes are suitable for everyone over 16.
